Running Accomplishments:

I started running when I moved to Oregon in 2008.  When I first started, I couldn't even run to the end of my block!  I made it my goal to just run a little bit further each time.  Not too much time went by before I realized how much I loved the sport of running.  I signed up for my first 5k in April 2009. I have loved watching my speed and distance increase as the years have gone by.

Well, after 9 weeks (!) of rest due to plantar fasciitis, I finally got clearance to run 1 mile today.  The bonus: I got to run with my husband (not a runner dude).  He has been a trooper going to boot camp class with me 2x/week since this whole thing happened.  Over his time in boot camp, he had built up enough stamina to join me today.  Off to stretch and ice and hoping that it feels awesome tonight so I can do another mile tomorrow morning!  YAYA!
